Walk in Interviews for the post of Librarian, Assistant Librarian at Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune (IIIT, Pune)

Post: Librarian

Consolidated Salary: Rs.70,000/- per month

Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale and consistently good academic record. 
2. At least ten years as a Deputy Librarian in the library of a technical university, educational institute.

Desirable:

• M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Documentat ion/ Archives and Manuscript keeping. Specialized course in Computer Applications & Networking. Experience in Computer Aided Management of the Library System. 
• Rs.70,000/- per month Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work.

Post: Assistant Librarian

Consolidated Salary: Rs.30,000/- per month

Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science / Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at least 60% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale and a consistently good academic record. 
2. Ten years experience as Librarian in technical university, educational institute.

*Candidates with higher qualification, good academic record, relevant experience shall be given preference.

Walk in interviews will be held on Sunday, 8th January 2017 at 10 am in the main Building of COEP.

Candidates should bring the filled in form with them in prescribed format with passport size photo affixed on it, Bio-data, relevant original certificates and one set of self attested copies of these certificates along with ID proof. Even though these are temporary positions for fixed period of 11 months, COEP will make all the efforts to fulfill reservation norms as per Government policy. A screening test, will be conducted on the same day if the number of applications for a particular post are more. IIIT Pune is currently operating from temporary campus located at Sidhhant College of Engineering, A/ P. Sadumbre, Tal. Maval, District Pune and it would be the place of work.
